My name is Dario, the founder of INTILUSION and I appreciate you coming to my page. I hope that I am able to inspire you to follow your dream and make it happen.
My traveling life started when I was 8 years old and my father asked me if I wanted to travel internationally or have a party to celebrate my first communion. For some reason I thought that traveling would be a good choice and I went for it. This decision shaped the type of life I have lived and will live for the years to come.

During the early years of my life, I showed a passion for music performance, sports and getting to know cultures. By the age of 12, I had already visited several places in Ecuador, such as the Galapagos Islands, Colombia, The United States and Mexico. I remember having a passion for understanding other countries traditions, dialects and music.
At that age my mind was already changing and I started to become open minded. It doesn't matter what age, traveling abroad opens your perspectives in life and gives you the opportunity to understand cultural relativism.

During my teen years my mind was filled with several types of music around the world. I could listen to spanish rock music that came from Argentina to Andean Bolivian music. Ecuadorian pasillos to Spanish Flamenco. Mexican pop music to tropical salsa, cumbia and merengue. Classic Rock influenced by my father or Disco, 80s pop influenced by my mother. I did listen to everything... Even Vanilla Ice ha ha ha
All that music I listened to was replaced by this awesome music that came from Seattle. Nirvana was the band that made me pick up a guitar and learn how to play. Then, all the bands that followed influenced my songwriting style.

SHAPING INTILUSION
I juggled between going to University, working, writing songs and playing in bands in order to make my dreams come true. By my early 20's I had already explored most of the United States as well as Canada. After obtaining a degree in Economics from the University of Houston, I decided to travel to Europe, see most of the continent, learn about the music business and I started my own label/publishing company. Once again, my life changed as I discovered new sounds and met new people that saw the world in a total different way.
I was writing songs everyday and my sound was becoming more my own. I didn't just want to form a band, I wanted to form an institution where I was able play with different musicians and be able to evolve musically as well as personally. I continued to travel around the world, working in the financing world and one day in June 2007 INTILUSION was born.
